The Casino – The Movie Review

Aside from gaming, many casinos also serve food and beverages. Some even have swimming pools and spas. Casinos are popular tourist destinations, and they often attract a high number of visitors. Rather than simply showing the glamour of Las Vegas (which he does admirably), Scorsese delves into the dark underbelly of the city’s business, which allows men such as Ace and Nicky to thrive, then spits them out.
Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are both brilliant in their roles, although their characters often act independently of one another. Ace is a smart, tough, and basically honest man, while Nicky is more of a slugger who lets his anger govern his decisions. Their differences ultimately lead to their downfall.
